After successfully producing two nationally distributed children’s television shows for Enthusiastic Productions, longtime friends and colleagues, (the Emmy® award winning team of Teresa L. Thome and Patrick W. Ziegler) launched fubble entertainment in January 2011. In its first year, the team raised capital to produce the first five episodes of the web series, Backstage Drama, showcased at a leading international art festival, ArtPrize and developed and launched a subscription-based website. The team also served as creative producers for An Evening With Betty White at the national festival of laughter, LaughFest. In 2012, Thome and Ziegler were writers & creative producers for aLive from Grand Rapids, It’s Saturday Night! with Martin Short, Kevin Nealon and Alan Zweibel also for LaughFest. This year the team served as Executive Producers and writers for A Fabulous Night with Wayne Brady and Jonathan Mangum. Both serve as judges for the National Daytime Emmy Awards. The company also began sales of its web series, secured several theater partners, completed a goal-breaking Kickstarter (on-line fundraising campaign), developed multiple scripts, launched an entertainment branding business, produced a corporate pilot episode and produced a holiday short. The pair won an Emmy for its web series, Backstage Drama and picked up a National Telly and regional Eclipse award as well.
In April 2013, the team presented, at the Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago, a staged reading of their original sitcom I’ve Got a Life in Kalamazoo with multiple award winners Ed Asner (Up, Mary Tyler Moore Show), Marion Ross (Happy Days, Gilmore Girls, Spongebob Squarepants), Vicki Lewis (NewsRadio, Finding Nemo, How I Met Your Mother) and Gregory Jbara (Billy Elliot, the Musical/Tony, CBS/BlueBloods).
In Spring 2014 the team produced an evening with Jay Leno for LaughFest and created an animated pilot “Fashionista and Glamour Girl” starring the now, late great Joan Rivers.
